I bought 25 pounds of Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats and put them into 32 oz. plastic containers (that I also bought on Amazon). I really love these oats. So easy to prepare. The first time I prepared them I had a swallowing problem; they got stuck in my throat and I had a hard time clearing the blockage. I have this problem with a lot of foods but it is usually caused by eating too fast and not drinking enough water as I eat. That was a one-time occurrence with the oats; it has not happened again and I have prepared many servings since then but I now know how to eat them.. I prepare a 1/2 cup of oats with one oz. of walnuts, two tsps. of brown sugar, some honey and butter. Makes a delicious meal. Takes just 7 minutes to prepare in a 7-8 cup bowl (remember they are NOT one minute oats). When searching on the internet I was amazed at the number of ways to cook steel cut oats. (And they satisfy hunger longer than the one minute quick oats.)
