My male friend had to knock it with an AX. The thing is too big and too hard for a DOX. The yorkie barely has teeth. My poodle mix chewed every piece. His teeth were too SHARP and he bit my worker guy. I had put the dog away but the guy open the door thinking that was the front door and he got bit. Sorry I’ve digressed but these bones are good for younger dogs and it’s actually stopped the one male from being bored. That was why I got these because I didn’t want him chewing stuff that was off limits!I have ordered these before, but this package had bones that splintered easily. I had to take parts of the bone out of her mouth. This happened with a few of them, very dangerous!great product, will order againThis was a great addition to our dog's array of chew toys. I was finding that the rawhide bones that we were giving our puppy would be gone within hours. I wanted something that would keep her occupied for longer than that. She enjoys chewing on this bone (obviously she loves the flavor), but even when it seems that most of the outside "meatyness" has gone, she still likes to chew on it. It is also hollow, so at some point, I could even put in extra treats (peanut butter, wet dog food, etc.) and keep her occupied for longer. She doesn't sit there all day chewing this like she would for the rawhide bones, which is fine with me because I don't want her to get bored with it all at once as she has a tendency to do.The only con is the packaging. It has two layers of cling wrap, which is good in that it keeps other things it's been shipped with non-greasy; but once you open the first wrapping, the next one is a lot harder to open because it gets really greasy really fast. I'd probably suggest employing scissors or an exacto knife for an easier opening experience.I received a discount for this product in exchange for my review.I dislike nothing about this boneI did a lot of research on different types of dog bones including brand-named bones to find out which bones I'd buy for my much loved dog. Several brands will chip and/or splinter and could be hazardous. However this particularly brand is known for making safer bones because of their manufacturing processes.Never buy bones from pet stores unless they sell this particular brand. Inspect your dog's bones frequently to check for nicks and splintering. My rather high strung cattle dog has razor sharp teeth and this satisfies his chewing needs.The bone is very thick it doesn't splinter But my dog (pit mix) lost interest after only about 10- 15 minutes! Maybe less!! So maybe it just depends on what your dog likes! Also I spoil him quite a bit.... So he already had several bones!! And chew toys! But it's a reasonable price Thanks ??My dog liked it but not as well as some other brands we have tried .
